A fire broke out on Tomco Lane in North Huntingdon.

Two firefighters were injured while battling a garage fire Monday in North Huntingdon, according to a Westmoreland 911 dispatcher.

The fire was reported at about 7:20 p.m. at 2005 Tomco Lane.

According to the dispatcher, a firefighter from Circleville Volunteer Fire Department was taken to the hospital with chest pains. Another firefighter from the Fairmont Hahntown Volunteer Fire Department had an ankle injury. No other injuries were reported.

Kurt Ingram, 59, who lives on Circle Drive in White Oak said he was sitting on the couch when he heard sirens.

Ingram was able to see the fire, which broke out in a metal structure and a wooden shed located on a hill above Circle Drive. He noted that a dirt road leads up to the structures.

The scene cleared around 11 p.m.
