A Derry Township man was ordered to serve up to 40 years in prison for the sexual assaults of six teenage girls last year.

Christopher R. Fraser, 20, pleaded guilty to 19 charges in six cases in which he was charged with having sex with girls between the ages of 12 and 16 over a four-month period.

Police said Fraser in March and April 2023 met 12-year-old and 14-year-old girls for sex at Legion Keener Park in Latrobe; had sex in May 2023 with a 13-year-old girl at a Derry apartment building; attempted to have sex in May 2023 with two teens, ages 14 and 15, at Marguerite Park in Unity; and had sex in June 2023 with a 16-year-old girl in a camper parked in front of a Latrobe home.

He pleaded guilty to charges including rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and corruption of a minor.

Fraser also pleaded guilty to making written threats in a letter he sent from jail to two of his victims.

“I am truly sorry for my actions and every person I have victimized,” Fraser said. “I will do everything in my power to make amends and be a productive member of society.”

Westmoreland County Common Pleas Judge Christopher Feliciani imposed terms Monday of a negotiated plea bargain that calls for him to serve 18 to 40 years in prison and nine additional years on probation. Fraser also faces a lifetime requirement to register as a convicted sex offender.

Ethan S. McCardle, 22, of Derry was charged with Fraser in connection with allegations made by a 13-year-old who told police she was sexually assaulted by both men.

McCardle is in jail awaiting trial on eight sex-related charges.
