'Creating Connections' at Westmoreland Museum to be focus of talk in Murrysville

Sculptural works included in “Action/Abstraction Redefined: Modern Native Art, 1945-1975,” through May 28 at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art in Greensburg.

Erica Nuckles, director of learning, engagement and partnerships at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, will be the featured speaker at the next “Boomers and Beyond” speaker series in Murrysville.

It will be at 11:30 a.m. June 13 at Mother of Sorrows social hall, 4202 Old William Penn Highway in Murrysville.

Nuckles is an award-winning museum leader, educator, curator and scholar, and will present, “Creating Connections at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art,” discussing the museum’s latest programs and exhibits.

The presentation is free and open to the public. Attendees may bring a bag lunch and a guest. Beverages are provided.

First opened in 1959, the Westmoreland is free to visit and offers a wide selection of significant American art.
