An Irwin woman is accused of driving under the influence and endangering the welfare of children after she crashed into a car in a North Huntingdon hotel parking lot and hit a curb with two young children in the backseat.
Township police stopped Kristina L. Nottingham, 29, a short distance from the Holiday Inn Express on Rhonda Court about 11:30 p.m. Friday.
Police were called to the hotel to investigate an alleged disturbance in the lobby caused by Nottingham, who fled in a Buick sedan with two children, ages 8 and 4, Officer Matthew Benick said in court documents filed Tuesday. Police said she struck the vehicle and curb while leaving the parking lot before turning onto Rhonda Court.
Neither child was injured, police said. They were placed in the custody of a relative. Nottingham refused to submit to a forensic blood analysis, police said.
In addition to DUI and endangerment counts, Nottingham is charged with driving on a suspended license from a 2017 DUI conviction and fleeing the scene of an accident.
