Belle Vernon man accused of assault, trying to throw woman from moving car

Greensburg police arrested a 43-year-old man on multiple assault charges after he allegedly attacked a woman and tried to throw her out of his moving car early Sunday after they left a bar, city police said.

Tony A. Flocker of Belle Vernon was arraigned before Harrison City District Judge Helen Kistler on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, making terroristic threats, harassment and reckless endangerment in connection with the assault that occurred after the couple departed a West Pittsburgh Street bar.

Patrolman Reginald Harbarger reported in court documents the woman, 40, with multiple bruises and abrasions visible on her face and body, drove to the Greensburg police station at 3 a.m. Sunday to report the assault.

“Flocker allegedly got upset over her talking to another male and pushed her down the steps of the bar when they left,” Harbarger reported.

Although the victim did not want to ride home with Flocker, Harbarger said the woman told him that she got in the car anyway “because she was scared.”

“While driving home, (Flocker) allegedly threatened he was going to kill her multiple times and hit her head off of the passenger side window multiple times. He also attempted to push her out of the moving vehicle,” Harbarger said.

When she arrived home, police allege Flocker continued to “punch and kick” the woman multiple times.

Police said they photographed the woman’s numerous injuries.

Kistler ordered Flocker held in the county jail on $25,000 bail. A Sept. 19 preliminary hearing is scheduled before Greensburg District Judge Chris Flanigan.
