Visitors check out various antique cars and sports cars during the EC Cruisers Car Club car cruise in Bovard.

Car cruise fans can see a gathering of classic cars from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 at the grounds of the Westmoreland Conservation District, 218 Donohoe Road, Hempfield.

The fifth annual Sewickley Creek Watershed Association’s Cruise for Conservation will feature entertainment and food prepared by the Sewickley Creek Watershed Association Board of Directors.

An 1880-era horse-drawn Studebaker wagon, on loan from the Ligonier Valley Historical Society, will be on display as well, said Rob Cronauer, managing director for the conservation district, which is co-sponsoring the event.

In addition to food and entertainment, there will be door prizes, a raffle, gift baskets and disc jockey. Visitors also can tour the flower and herb garden at the conservation district grounds.

Dash plaques will be available for the first 75 vehicles. The car cruise has attracted more than 60 vehicles in the past, Cronauer said.

Proceeds will benefit the watershed association.
