Prospective airline passengers who want to fast-track their trip through airport security checkpoints will have the opportunity to sign up for the Transportation Security Administration’s PreCheck program Sept. 23-27 at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport.
The program allows pre-approved, low-risk travelers to skip some of the normal checkpoint requirements. Participants don’t need to remove their shoes, belts, light jackets, laptops or compliant liquids.
There is an $85 fee to enroll in the program for five years and to obtain a Known Traveler Number, which should be used when booking a flight.
Enrollment appointments will be available from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Unity airport’s main airline ticket counter.
Visit IdentoGo.com/precheck to pre-register, to submit an online application and for more information about the program and documents needed for enrollment.
