Something good
Two big names in music take the stage this weekend at The Palace Theatre in Greensburg:
• Ben Folds, 7:30 p.m. Friday. Best known for songs like “Brick” and “Underground” with the alt-rock trio, Ben Folds Five, the singer/songwriter/pianist is touring after his fifth solo studio album,“What Matters Most.”
Special guest will be Tall Heights, a Boston-based electro-folk duo. Tickets are $50.75-$90.75.
• Peter Noone and Herman’s Hermits, p.m. Sunday. Noone was the teenage front man for the British Invasion band that had 1960s hits like “I’m Into Something Good,” “Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter,” “I’m Henry VIII” and “There’s a Kind of Hush.”
Mark Milovats and The Latshaw Pops will open the show with a musical tribute to the ’60s. Tickets are $49-$99.
