Sunset soiree
Experience Fort Ligonier at twilight with a sunset tour from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the historical site at routes 30 and 711 in Ligonier.
Guests will enjoy a guided tour of the fort’s museum and a wine, cheese and dessert reception on the education center patio. The evening concludes with a lantern-lit walk through the hilltop fortifications.
Casual attire and comfortable shoes are suggested for the 21-and-older event. Fee is $45, or $35 for fort association members.

Block party
The Summer in Ligonier Block Party is planned for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, featuring merchant sidewalk sales, children’s art display and activities, demonstrations and community resource booths throughout the Diamond Park and downtown area.
Special features will include the Carnegie Museum of Natural History’s “Fur, Feathers & Scales” mini-museum, The Bug Lady, glass blowing, Flow N’at fire troupe, HT Flyers jump rope team and caricature artist Andy Balko.

Artsy affair
The Summer Artisan Market is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art, 221 N. Main St., Greensburg.
Regional artisans and craftspeople will sell wares including jewelry, ceramics, home decor, children’s books, body products, textiles and wearable art, candles, note cards and more. Pittsburgh Lace Group will present lace making demonstrations.
The Bubble Waffles and Mandu Handu (Korean) food trucks will be on site. West Overton Distillery will offer free samples of Monongahela Rye Whiskey and will have cocktails for sale to those 21 and older.
The museum galleries will be open.

Pittsburgh rock
It’s a double dose of Pittsburgh rock Saturday for the Twin Lakes Summer Concert Series at the Peach Plaza Expansion Area amphitheater, off Georges Station Road in Hempfield.
Alt-rock singer/songwriter Jay Wiley is first up at 6:30 p.m. At 8 p.m., it’s Gene the Werewolf — a self-described sextet of iconoclastic rock and roll survivors.
Food will be available from Lou Lou’s Smokehouse and beverages from Unity Brewing.
Admission is free and the park is dog-friendly. Attendees are advised to bring their own seating.

Hitsville USA
The Magic of Motown takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in The Palace Theatre, 21 W. Otterman St., Greensburg.
Featuring 15 vocalists, a six-piece band, costume changes and dazzling dance moves, the show celebrates the greatest hits of Motown legends such as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, The Jackson 5 and Smokey Robinson.
