Holiday greens and gifts
Hours for Greensburg Garden Center’s annual Gifts & Greens Sale are 3-7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the Greensburg Garden & Civic Center, 951 Old Salem Road.
Holiday merchandise includes trees of various sizes individually decorated by Garden Center members, along with aromatic garlands and roping, candle rings, wreaths, kissing balls, mixed-green swags and other decorative items. Many of the fresh greens are sourced from members’ gardens.

Hard-knock life
Greensburg Civic Theatre’s Greasepaint Players will present “Annie Jr.” at 7 p.m. Friday and 1 and 4 p.m. Saturday in the Greensburg Garden & Civic Center, 951 Old Salem Road.
Adapted from the comic strip and Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, it’s the tale of the good-natured, red-haired girl left at an orphanage in 1930s New York City, who finds a new home with billionaire Oliver Warbucks.

Deck the halls
A Holiday Craft and Vendor Show is set for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the Hempfield Township Athletic Complex, 22 Forbes Trail Road.
The event will feature holiday decor and gift items from local vendors, concessions and 50-50 and basket raffles.
Proceeds benefit Hempfield Parks Fund and Hempfield Township Parks & Recreation Revitalization Project. For information, visit hempfieldtwp.com.
Trees galore
Ligonier Valley Historical Society will host its 39th annual Festival of Lights from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday through Tuesday in the Town Hall Community Room on the Ligonier Diamond.
The festival features a sale of trees, wreaths, garlands and other holiday items decorated by local residents, businesses and organizations. It kicks off with a Toast to the Trees gala and silent auction from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.

It’s ‘brass-tacular’
River City Brass will present its annual “Christmas Brasstacular” concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in The Palace Theatre, 21 W. Otterman St., Greensburg.
The program will include Christmas songs from around the world; selections from “Frozen,” “Frozen II” and “The Polar Express”; and an audience sing-along to the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah.”
