Washington County man accused of rape in Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh police have arrested a Washington County man accused of rape and assault early Saturday in the city’s North Side.
Police said they found Dillon Jolly of South Strabane on Cedar Avenue following a reported sexual assault that occurred in the 600 block of Emlin Street.
According to court documents, Jolly, 27, is charged with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, strangulation, simple assault and terroristic threats.
He was arraigned early Sunday and was placed in the Allegheny County Jail after failing to post $50,000 bail. He faces and Aug. 18 preliminary hearing.
Anyone with information about the assault is asked to contact Pittsburgh police. The department’s Special Victims Unit is continuing an investigation.
Police said Jolly is a suspect in other sexual assaults.
According to online court documents, in previous cases he was charged with stalking and pleaded guilty to harassment.
