A vandal smashed windows at a Squirrel Hill business and a marked business vehicle parked nearby over the weekend, Pittsburgh police said Monday morning.

Police from Zone 4 responded to a business early Friday in the 2400 block of Beechwood Boulevard for a criminal mischief report, police spokeswoman Cara Cruz said.

Surveillance video from the business showed a person who appeared to be a girl or woman, dressed in all black, approach the business with a hammer around 3:50 a.m., Cruz said.

She tried several times to break the front window, but was unsuccessful, Cruz said. She then removed two “Support Israel” signs from the business’ front window and threw them.

The vandal fled along Beechwood Boulevard, where she hit the passenger-side window of the work truck, causing it to shatter, Cruz said.

No arrests have been made, Cruz said. Police are investigating.
