Pink Day festival planned Saturday in downtown Leechburg
Leechburg’s 13th annual Pink Day Celebration and Fundraiser to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday on Market Street in Leechburg.
The event will involve organizations and businesses throughout the borough. Performances scheduled at the stage at Market and Second streets include Joe Patrick & Four on the Floor, Magic and the Hot Metal Brass and the Lenny Collini Family Pak.
A free Kids Zone will open at 10 a.m. at Kiski Valley Community Church, 219 Market St. and there will be a car cruise at Romeo’s Tire Center on Third Street. A foam party will be at 4 p.m. in front of Chuck Smith Flooring on Market Street. Bring a towel.

HOPE Center accepting donations
The Alle-Kiski HOPE Center is seeking donations of household items for the clients it serves. The center provides free and confidential services to survivors of domestic violence and their families.
Items most needed include bath sets containing a shower curtain, bathmat, toothbrush holder and soap dish, underwear, slippers in all sizes; hairbrushes, combs, lotion, lip balm, curling irons and new makeup.
Donations are accepted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays at the administration office, 500 E. Eighth Ave., Tarentum. If you are ordering online, request delivery to this address. For details, call 724-224-1100 or visit akhopecenter.org.
Tarentum/Brackenridge Christmas parade seeks participants
