Volunteers needed for Kiski River cleanup
The Kiskiminetas Watershed Association will sponsor a river cleanup Saturday on the Kiski River by the Avonmore Bridge.
Anyone who would like to volunteer should meet at 9 a.m. at the Avonmore Park launch on First Street. Wear old clothes and shoes that can get wet. If you have a canoe or sit-on kayak, please bring it. In case of inclement weather or river conditions, check the group Facebook page the day of the event.
