Kiski Township toy and gift collection to benefit local children

Kiski Township Police and Fire Department along with the Apollo Elks and Spring Church Fox’s Pizza are collecting donations of unwrapped toys, clothing and gift cards for local children.

Drop off times and locations are: any time at the public entrance of the police department; 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the firehall, 1037 Route 56; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Fox’s Pizza, 3528 Route 156; and 3 to 7 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 151 Elks Lodge Road.

Contributions of wrapping paper, tape, bows, bags and name tags are welcome. Deadline to donate is Dec. 10. For details, call Dianne at 412-601-1782.


Orders being accepted for AFS citrus fruit sale

Orders are being taken for the annual Highlands High School AFS citrus fruit sale.

All ordering will be done online with direct shipping to homes. Shipping costs are included in the listed price. Fruit available includes large and small boxes of California navel oranges and ruby red grapefruit, tangelos, clementines, pears, apples, pineapples and mixed boxes.

Participants sought for New Kensington Christmas parade

The New Kensington Christmas parade will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 3 with lineup at 9:30 a.m. on Barnes Street.

Groups, fire departments, clubs and organizations wishing to march or sponsor a float in the parade must fill out an entry form. Forms are available by calling 724-337-4523 or emailing cityclerkadm@nkcity.org.
