Murder/mystery dinner to benefit local feline rescue group

A murder mystery dinner to benefit Kiski Valley Cat and Kitten Rescue will be Dec. 11 at the Lamplighter Restaurant, 6566 Route 22, Delmont.

Doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $55 and include dinner, entertainment, non-alcoholic beverages and gratuity. There will be a basket raffle and 50/50.

Voting to begin in Harrison gingerbread house contest

Harrison Township Recreation Board is sponsoring a gingerbread house contest for township residents.

Entries must be dropped off by Monday at Community Library of Allegheny Valley, 1522 Broadview Blvd. Members of the community can vote by donation beginning Tuesday for their favorite house and prizes will be award to the top three entries.

Houses will be on display until Dec. 3 and winners will be announced at 1 p.m. Dec. 3. Individuals and groups are welcome to enter.
