Golf outing to benefit community Meals On Wheels

The 24th annual South Butler Community Meals on Wheels golf outing will begin at 9 a.m. Aug. 1 at Conley Resort, 740 Pittsburgh Road, Penn Township.

The event will be a best ball scramble. Cost is $400 per foursome and includes cart, hot dogs at the turn, lunch and an opportunity to win door prizes. There will be skill games and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three foursomes.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. For information and to register, call 724-898-0080. South Butler Community Meals On Wheels provides over 16,000 meals each year to shut-in and ill residents in southern Butler and northern Allegheny counties.


Concert series to feature North Mississippi Allstars

The North Mississippi Allstars blues band will be featured at the free 2022 Summer Concert series Sunday at Hartwood Acres Park Amphitheater, 4070 Middle Road, Hampton.

Black Dog Winery and Hop Farm Brewing trucks will be on site beginning at 6 p.m. and performances will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Bring a chair. Popup tents and umbrellas are permitted but must be taken down before the performance begins.
