Annual Martin Luther King Jr. service planned online

Allegheny Valley Association of Churches will host its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Service at 3 p.m. Sunday online on the Association of Churches Facebook Page.

Donations will be accepted to support the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Fund that was organized in 1968 shortly after King’s assassination and awards scholarships to area high school seniors who plan on furthering their education at a college or trade school.


Online parenting program offered

Wesley Family Services and United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania will sponsor an online parenting program, “The Incredible Years, “from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays Feb. 22 to June 28 on Zoom.us.

Parents can learn how to play together to build your relationship, use praise and rewards to encourage positive behavior, set clear limits and use effective and positive discipline techniques.

Prospect Cemetery requests cleanup

All Christmas decorations should be removed from Prospect Cemetery in Brackenridge by Sunday.
