Vandergrift Public Library to offer free AARP Tax Aid
Free AARP Tax Aid will be available at Vandergrift Public Library for senior citizens who have a low to moderate income.
Appointments are required and this will be a drop-off procedure with no in-person sessions. Seniors will make an appointment from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursdays to bring their tax information to the library where it will be electronically scanned and must be available for telephone consultations with the tax volunteer. There will be a one- to two-week turnaround for most returns. A signature and review will be required at the pickup date that will be determined by the preparer and returns will be filed electronically. Face masks are required for drop off and pickup at the library.
For an appointment and information, call the library at 724-568-2212 during operating hours, 2 to 7 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays.
