Freeport Renaissance Association seeking volunteers

Freeport Renaissance Association is seeking volunteer help to maintain the community gardens in the borough.

The group recently placed solar lights on many of the trees and the “Welcome to Freeport” sign along Buffalo Street.

Kidney support group to offer free online meeting

The Western Pennsylvania Kidney Support Groups will host an online support meeting from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The group enables anyone with chronic kidney disease, transplant recipients and candidates, and caregivers to meet and share common experiences. Registration is required by Saturday. To register, visit wpakidneysupport.org/register.

Salvation Army free lunch distribution planned Thursday

The Allegheny Valley Salvation Army and Community Center in Brackenridge offers free grab and go lunches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays in parking lot at the center, 917 Brackenridge Ave.
