Allegheny Valley Association of Churches accepting food bank donations

Donations are welcome for the Allegheny Valley Association of Churches food bank in Harrison.

Items most needed include diapers, bread, spaghetti and sauce, bottled juice, and canned chicken and tuna and can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the office, 1913 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights.

Online resume and interview workshops planned

Pennsylvania CareerLink Alle-Kiski will offer workshops on Zoom.us for those needing help with resumes and interviewing.

A workshop about resumes will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and an interviewing workshop will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., both Feb. 17. Sue Diehl will be the instructor.

Vendor applications being taken for Fort Armstrong Folk Festival

The Fort Armstrong Folk Festival, planned for Aug. 5 through Aug. 8, in Kittanning, is accepting space applications from vendors.

Hours of operation will be 5 to 10 p.m. Aug. 5, noon to 10 p.m. Aug. 6 and 7, and noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 8.

Vendors in the artists market must offer handmade goods. Food vendors can be for-profit or non-profit organizations. For applications, visit armstrongfestival.com/vendors. For more information, email info@armstrongfestival.com. Deadline is June 30 or until spaces are filled.
