Pa. Litter Hawk Youth Award accepting entries

Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful is accepting projects for its Litter Hawk Youth Award program for students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Students complete a project specific to their grade level, individually or as a part of a lesson initiated by schools, scout troops or other organizations. Grades and projects include kindergarten through fourth grade, poster; and fifth and sixth grade, essay or video.

This year’s theme is “Show Us How Every Litter Bit Matters to You.” Two entries will be selected winners in each grade level. First place will receive a $50 gift card, first runner up will receive a $25 gift card, and all participants will get a certificate. Deadline is Jan. 31.

Winners will be announced in April in time for Earth Day celebrations. For details and entry forms, visit keeppabeautiful.org/grants-awards/awards/litter-hawk. For questions, call Michelle Dunn at 877-772-3673, ext. 113.
