Wine tasting fundraiser planned at Wooden Door Winery

Burrell Education Foundation will host a wine tasting event at 6 p.m. Thursday at Wooden Door Winery, 101 Custer Ave., Vandergrift.

Tickets are $25 and include a spaghetti dinner, wine sampling with a free glass of wine and entertainment. There will be a silent auction. For tickets and information, call Michael Discello at 724-334-1406, ext. 2091. Proceeds will benefit the foundation’s activities for students and teachers of the Burrell School District.


Car cruise set Saturday in North Apollo

The Kiski Valley Region Antique Car Club of America will host a car cruise from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Lackey’s Dairy Queen, 2130 River Road, North Apollo.

Vehicle registration will begin at 3:30 p.m. and costs $10. The first 75 vehicles will receive a custom wooden photo dash plaque and a milkshake. There will be food, ice cream, music, basket raffle, 50/50 and door prizes. For details, call Kim at 724-568-3330.


Performers needed for annual Casino Theater Christmas show

The Casino Theater in Vandergrift is looking for singers, dancers and actors for this year’s 25th annual Hometown Christmas production set for Nov. 25 through 27.
