Residents of Ward 3 will cast votes at The Clement at West Ninth Avenue and Center Street in Tarentum.

Some Tarentum voters will visit new sites in November to cast their election ballots.

The Allegheny County Department of Elections announced changes Friday to two polling locations in the borough.

Residents of Ward 1 will vote at First United Presbyterian Church, 913 Lock St.

People who live in Ward 3 will vote at The Clement, 216 W. Ninth Ave.

Both locations are handicapped accessible.

“The borough was just made aware of the changes,” Manager Dwight Boddorf said.

He plans to include the notification on November utility bills and also put an alert on the borough’s website and social media pages.

Boddorf said Ward 3 voters had to find a new polling site because the former location, Holy Martyrs Church, recently closed.

“We do not yet have an official reason why Ward 1 has changed,” he said.

That location had been at the Highland Hose fire station.

People who live in Ward 2 will continue to vote at the borough building, 318 Second Ave.

The General Election is Nov. 8. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The last day to register to vote is Monday, Oct. 24.
