The Springdale Township municipal building is seen from Pillow Avenue.

Some Springdale Township residents have not received their 2024 Allegheny County property tax bills.

Township Manager William McElligott is advising residents to call the Allegheny County Treasurer’s Office at 412-350-4100 if they have not received their property tax bill.

The deadline to pay a discounted rate is March 31.

The Allegheny County Treasurer’s Office began mailing bills out on Feb. 12 and all were out by Feb. 23.

McElligott was unsure how many, or in what parts of the township, residents failed to receive their bills. Allegheny County Council at its regular meeting Tuesday is expected to vote to extend the discount period for paying real estate taxes, according to the county Treasurer’s Office.

Mark Lawrence, a spokesman for the U.S. Postal Service, said USPS is aware that “a couple residents” in Springdale Township have yet to receive their 2024 property tax bill.

He said USPS continues to deliver all available mail in Springdale Township on a daily basis. USPS recommends people sign up for its “Informed Delivery” service.

“It’s a free feature that enables consumers to preview their mail and manage their packages scheduled to arrive soon,” Lawrence said.

He also said people can call 1-800-ASK-USPS with delivery questions or concerns.

The Allegheny County Treasurer’s Office also reminds people that they can access their Allegheny County Real Estate Tax balance online at the county’s website. Taxpayers can pay directly there or mail a check, with their lot and block included in the memo line, to the treasurer’s office, 436 Grant St., Room 108 Courthouse, Pittsburgh, PA. 15219.
