Part of Ross Hollow Road in Plum will be closed for four days because of work on a bridge on Stotler Road, Allegheny County Public Works announced Thursday.
Ross Hollow is scheduled to be closed between Harris Road and Rustic Ridge Drive at 5 p.m. Oct. 22. The closure is expected to end during the morning on Oct. 25.
The closure, part of an ongoing bridge replacement project, is needed for backfilling and removal of temporary shoring, public works said.
While closed, traffic will be detoured using New Texas and Old Leechburg roads.
When Ross Hollow reopens, traffic will be limited to a single lane. Traffic will be controlled using temporary stop signs until the end of the project and drivers should expect short stoppages near the work zone, public works said.
Stotler Road was closed between Ross Hollow and Old Leechburg roads on Aug. 23, and is expected to remain closed until November. Traffic is being detoured using Old Leechburg and Ross Hollow roads.
People who live on Stotler and Ross Hollow roads will have access to their homes throughout the project.
Pugliano Construction is the contractor on the $608,000 bridge project, which includes new pavement, drainage, guide rail and pavement markings.
