Police seek tips from public about 2 runaway teenage girls from New Kensington

The New Kensington Police Department is seeking the public’s help locating two runaway teenage girls.

The cases are not related.

• Police are searching for Sarah Chessario, 14, who is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds.

No clothing description for Chessario was available from investigators.

Police said the girl may be in the Pittsburgh area.

• New Kensington police are also asking for the public’s help in locating Monae Matthews, 15.

Monae is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 145 pounds. Police did not have a clothing description for Monae.

New Ken police had posted on Facebook a notice of Monae’s leaving home last month and reposted the request for the public’s help on Friday.

They said Monae may also be in the Pittsburgh area.

Anyone who sees or knows where either girl may be is are asked to contact the New Kensington Police Department at (724) 339-7533 or call 911. Callers can remain anonymous.
