An Apollo man is accused of giving marijuana to two children, in one case starting when the boy was 7.

Police said they received a Childline complaint about Dale Edward Bash, 33, in January. A woman told investigators that Bash had been giving marijuana to her children, ages 15 and 13, according to a criminal complaint.

Both children admitted that they smoked marijuana with the man, and the 15-year-old said he began doing so on a regular basis when he was 7. The older boy said the man also frequently gave him alcohol, according to the complaint. Bash reportedly said he did so only once.

The 13-year-old told investigators he began smoking marijuana with the man in July but denied drinking alcohol, the complaint said.

Bash faces felony charges of child endangerment and misdemeanor counts of corruption of minors and providing alcohol to minors.

He remained in the Armstrong County Jail on Tuesday after failing to post $5,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on March 6.
