Plum School District officials seek input from parents on policies and the future of the district via online survey.
The survey, available here, features questions about returning to full-time in-person instruction, adhering to Center for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines or stricter safety regulations, and having the option to stay in hybrid learning.
Officials want to collect survey responses by Monday and may discuss the results at Tuesday night’s school board meeting.
“We believe it is very important to get feedback from all of our families,” Superintendent Brendan Hyland said. “This is our third districtwide survey this (school) year. A vast number of people have opinions but don’t always have the time to come to meetings or write emails.
“We want to make sure we take a proactive approach to hear from those folks, and surveys help us get a wider perspective.
”The board and the administrative team really want to get a sense of what our families think about the direction of the district. The results we gather are one piece of critical data that our team uses to make decisions for our students.”
The district is in a hybrid model with students split into two groups. Each group is in school a couple days a week and online on when days they’re not in school. An all virtual option also is available for families.
