Traffic was stalled briefly on the New Kensington Bridge Wednesday afternoon while police stopped a vehicle suspected of being involved in a shooting in the morning.

According to Westmoreland 911, a shooting was reported around 10:30 a.m. along Haser Drive in the city at a Westmoreland County Housing Authority apartment building.

A dispatcher said no injuries were reported in the incident but area police were advised to look for a dark gray Ford Fusion which was believed to be used by the shooting suspects. The vehicle was seen around 1 p.m. on the bridge, where it was stopped by police and multiple suspects were taken into custody.
