An Arnold man was sentenced Friday to four to eight years in a state prison in connection with a sexual assault of a teenager.

Alexander James Moss, 26, pleaded guilty to involuntary deviate sexual intercourse. Three other charges were dismissed.

Moss was ordered to spend three years on probation after the prison term.

He was arrested in October 2022 in connection with two assaults that reportedly happened in the fall of 2020. The teen told a New Kensington officer that they were asked to deliver a cake to a family member’s house on Ridge Avenue for a Labor Day party when the first assault happened, according to court papers. A second assault happened in October 2020.

Moss will be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law. He was given credit for time served since his arrest.
