A New Kensington man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Hill District last month.

Pittsburgh Police spokeswoman Cara Cruz said Justin Boyd was taken into custody in the Parnassus section of New Kensington Wednesday by the Westmoreland County SWAT team and Pittsburgh Police’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit.

Boyd is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and criminal mischief, Cruz said.

No age was given for Boyd.

Cruz said Boyd was taken into custody on a warrant for an April 2 shooting in the 2400 block of Bedford Avenue, in Pittsburgh’s Hill District.

There, police say, a man was shot in the shoulder and foot. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
