Lower Burrell police looking for city man accused of not returning a quad runner
Lower Burrell police are asking for the public’s help in finding a city man wanted for theft.
Eric Shank, 35, is wanted for theft and receiving property, said police Chief John Marhefka.
Police obtained an arrest warrant after Shank didn’t show up for his preliminary hearing before District Judge Cheryl Peck-Yakopec on July 27.
The charges stem from a Jeannette woman’s complaint that Shank was fixing her Honda quad runner at his father’s Lower Burrell home late last year, and she couldn’t get it back, according to court filings.
After numerous attempts, a friend of the woman who knows Shank said that Shank would give her $900 for the recreational vehicle.
The woman told police she never got her quad back, nor was she paid for it.
Police said Shank also is wanted for questioning in other cases. They did not provide details on those cases.
The public is asked to call 911 if they see Shank or know his whereabouts.
