Inspections to restrict traffic from I-579 ramp to northbound Route 28

Traffic will be restricted on the northbound Interstate 579 ramp to northbound Route 28 in Pittsburgh on Friday, PennDOT announced.

According to PennDOT, the ramp will be narrowed and shifted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.

There will also be a lane and shoulder restriction on northbound I-579 approaching the ramp, and there will be a shoulder restriction on northbound Route 28 under the ramp.

The ramp will remain open to traffic.

Crews from Larson Design Group will be conducting inspection activities, PennDOT said.
