Highlands welcomes 3 new board members

Highlands School Board this week held its annual reorganization meeting where they welcomed new members Clint Crowell, Jeff Thimons and Kelly Powell.

Crowell will represent Region 3; Thimons was elected in Region 2; Powell will serve Region 1.

During the meeting Tuesday, Deb Lehew was reelected to serve as board president and Gene Witt as vice president. Powell will serve as treasurer.

Other members of the board were designated to serve on special committees. Bobbie Neese will be the PSBA Liaison. Lehew and Kristie Babinsack will be the Forbes Road Career and Technical Center representative and alternate.

The school board will meet at 7 p.m. the second and third Mondays of each month, with a few exceptions as noted on the website. Meetings are held in the high school library.

The board’s next meeting is 7 p.m. Jan. 12.
