Highlands Superintendent Monique Mawhinney

Highlands School District parents will get more opportunities to talk with the district’s superintendent and administrators in January.

Superintendent Monique Mawhinney has scheduled a second round of “Coffee Talks” that will be held in the evening.

The first series of meetings had been held in the mornings in late September and early October.

The schedule is:

• Early Childhood Center and Elementary School — 6 to 8 p.m., Jan. 6 in the auditorium at Highlands Elementary School.

• Middle School — 6 to 8 p.m., Jan. 15 in the library at the middle school.

• High School — 6 to 8 p.m., Jan. 22 in the library at the high school.

Principals will participate in the events, according to the district. Parents and guardians will be able to discuss any issues or concerns related to their child’s school and share positive things that are happening.

The meetings are for adults only, so the district asks that parents make childcare arrangements.
