Springdale High School Choir director Elizabeth Minda leads her choir in a performance during the 35th annual Alle-Kiski Choral Festival on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023 at the Highlands High School auditorium.

The Highland Area Rotary Club kicked off the Christmas season Wednesday as it hosted the 35th Annual Alle-Kiski Choral Festival at Highlands High School in Harrison.

Choruses from Highlands, Burrell, Springdale and Freeport Area high schools sang Christmas and seasonal songs, both solemn and festive.

For the finale, as is the annual tradition, all four choirs took the stage to sing, “Holy Night, Silent Night.”

Guest conductor for the finale was Noah Woodward, choir director at Chartiers Valley High School who once sang in Kiski Area’s choir.
