A 65-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle driven by her husband Sunday in Harrison, police said.

The victim was identified as Shirley Anne Jump, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner.

The incident happened just before 9 a.m. in the 300 block of Village Green Drive, which sits off of Freeport Road.

Police Lieutenant Venerando Costa said the preliminary investigation showed it appeared to be an accident. The driver, Jump’s 72-year-old husband, inadvertently pushed the gas pedal instead of the brake and struck her, Costa said.
