Harrison police have issued an arrest warrant for a man accused of breaking into Freehling Service along Freeport Road and stealing a truck and other items.

Mark Bauer, 61, of Harrison is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property stemming from an incident July 22.

“He was positively identified by video surveillance,” police Chief Mike Klein said.

There could be additional charges, pending results from the Allegheny County crime lab.

Two other township businesses were broken into the same night.

Burglars forced their way into Della’s Frozen Custard at 5001 Freeport Road and Harbison’s Nursery at 4024 Freeport Road.

The three incidents happened overnight.

Police said Bauer used a rock to smash his way into Freehling’s and made off with the owner’s truck, a 1978 Chevy pickup.

“Further inventory shows two new vehicle batteries also walked off, along with 10 $2 bills,” Klein said.

Bauer was on probation from a similar 2021 arrest, Klein said.

Last July, Bauer was charged with burglary, trespassing and other crimes for stealing a GMC Sierra pickup from Ekas Auto and a Pontiac Torrent SUV from Auto Rama. Both businesses are along Freeport Road.
