An electrical problem at the Sheetz along Freeport Road in Harrison resulted in a fire department response but no injuries.

Hilltop Hose Co. No. 3 Chief Mike Krzeminski said crews from all three township departments responded to the gas station and convenience store for a commercial alarm around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Power was knocked out to about half the store, which closed. However, the gas pumps remained operational for people using credit or debit cards.

No smoke or fire was detected.

Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to scan the facility and found no irregularities, Krzeminski said.

Crews began to leave the scene around 6:10 p.m.

The chief remained at the store to meet with Sheetz maintenance crews.

It was unclear when the store would reopen.
