A red SUV passes a manhole on East 10th Avenue at Ormond Street in Tarentum on Friday, Aug. 30, 2019. Traffic is scheduled to be reduced to one lane in that area on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, while crews repair a collapsed manhole and pipe.

Traffic is expected to be restricted on East 10th Avenue in Tarentum for an emergency repair on Tuesday, according to the borough.

Traffic is scheduled to be reduced to one lane between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on East 10th near Ormond Street, borough Manager Michael Nestico said.

The borough’s public works crews will be helping a private contractor repair a collapsed manhole and pipe, which Nestico said are causing issues for a few surrounding homes.

Borough police will control traffic while work is being done.
