One of two men found dead in a Fifth Avenue house early last month died from a drug overdose.

Michael Joseph Hans, 42, of Arnold, died from acute drug toxicity, according to the Westmoreland County Corner’s Office. His death was ruled accidental.

Hans and Paul Anthony Mistrick III, 64, also Arnold, were found inside Mistrick’s Fifth Avenue residence on Sept. 6.

Mistrick’s manner and cause of death were not available early Wednesday, said Deputy Coroner Sean R. Hribel.

The men were found by police while performing a wellness check on Hans, who had been reported missing from his Sixth Avenue home. Knowing Hans and Mistrick were friends, police went to Mistrick’s home and discovered both men dead.

Police said there wasn’t any indication of foul play.
