The Chipotle at the Pittsburgh Mills complex in Frazer will open Wednesday. The location features a “Chipotlane,” a drive-thru lane where people can pick up digital orders without leaving their vehicle.

Burrito lovers in the Alle-Kiski Valley soon will have a new place to get their fix.

Representatives from Chipotle Mexican Grill announced the restaurant will open Wednesday at the Pittsburgh Mills complex in Frazer.

The new restaurant is at 1003 Village Center Drive, in the Lowe’s parking lot, across from Starbucks.

It will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

Founded in 1993, Chipotle is best known for its made-to-order tacos, burritos, salads and bowls.

Company spokeswoman Annie Gradinger said the Frazer location will feature a “Chipotlane,” a drive-thru lane where people can pick up digital orders without leaving their vehicles. It is the second Chipotlane in the Pittsburgh area, Gradinger said. The first one opened in July at The Waterfront in Homestead.

The restaurant also will offer carne asada, available for a limited time and a “fan favorite,” Gradinger said.

Carne asada, a beef protein people can add to their entrees, first debuted at Chipotle in September 2019. It is one of the most requested menu items on social media, according to the company.

The Frazer restaurant is hiring, Gradinger said, and each location typically employs about 25 workers. More information about employment is available at chipotle.com/careers.

Other nearby Chipotle locations include Fox Chapel, Hampton and Monroeville.
