Part of Pleasantville Road in Harrison will be closed for three months while a bridge is being replaced, PennDOT announced Wednesday.

The work to replace the bridge over Little Bull Creek between Burtner Road and Keystone Street is scheduled to start at 7 a.m. on Monday.

Pleasantville Road will be closed to traffic at the bridge located just north of Keystone Street through mid-July, PennDOT said.

The posted detour for traffic coming from south of the bridge will be:

• Follow Pleasantville Road to Carlisle Street

• Turn right onto Carlisle Street

• Turn left onto Alabama Avenue

• Turn left onto Freeport Road

• Turn left onto Burtner Road

• Follow Burtner Road back to Pleasantville Road

Traffic from the north will follow the same detour in the opposite direction.

About 900 vehicles use Pleasantville each day, PennDOT spokesman Steve Cowan said.

C.H.&D. Enterprises is the prime contractor on the $782,565 project.
