Brackenridge man posts bond on charges of using slur, chasing man with bat

A Brackenridge man who police said yelled racial slurs at another man, chased him with a baseball bat and mooned him last week is free on bond.

Eric Todd Clark, 47, was arrested Wednesday and released from the Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh on Thursday after posting $10,000 bond, according to online court records.

His attorney couldn’t be reached for comment.

Clark could be in court later this month on unrelated charges. He is accused of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl last year. According to the criminal complaint filed in that case, the incident happened in November and the girl told her parents about it at dinner that same day.

A jury trial is set for that case on May 23 before Allegheny County Judge Jill E. Rangos. Clark has been free on $25,000 bond since last year on those charges.

Police said the girl was later interviewed at the Child Advocacy Center at UPMC Children’s Hospital. During the interview, the girl said he allegedly took her clothes off. She said Clark told her not to “tell anyone in the world” about what had happened.

Clark’s criminal history includes arrests for simple assault, criminal trespassing, violation and contempt of protection from abuse orders, disorderly conduct, fleeing or eluding police and driving under the influence, according to the criminal complaint filed in the sexual assault case.
