Walk-ins will be accepted Tuesday afternoon at a covid-19 vaccination clinic at the Pittsburgh Mills mall that was originally by appointment only, an Allegheny Health Network spokeswoman said.
The clinic administering the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine opened at 8 a.m. in the former Sears Grand store and is scheduled to run until 4 p.m.. About 4,500 people had made appointments, AHN spokeswoman JoAnne Clobus said.
Walk-ins will be accepted this afternoon, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., she said.
Anyone age 16 and up is eligible to receive a vaccination.
Second doses will be given at the same location on May 11, Clobus said.
The AHN clinic comes about a week after one held by UPMC in the mall’s parking lot. The UPMC clinic was also opened to those without appointments and used the Pfizer vaccine.
