North Park bald eagles
Bald eagles are one of the biggest and most recognizable birds in the United States. The library is excited to have some right in our own backyard at North Park! Join Master Naturalist Ken Knapp at 7 p.m. Feb. 9 for a Zoom program where he will share information about this species and update us on what’s going on with our local eagles. This program is intended for adults, but all ages are welcome to attend. Registration is required to receive the Zoom meeting invitation link.
Valentine’s Day at Hogwarts
Request a take-home kit to discover some magical Valentine’s Day crafts inspired by our favorite Wizarding school! This craft bundle will be available for pickup Feb. 11 between 4 and 6 p.m. If you can’t pick up your bundle during that time, don’t worry! The remaining registered bundles will be in the lobby for easy access. This bundle is for all ages, and registration is required by Feb. 7 at midnight to account for supplies.
Preschool Story Time
A storytime for graduating toddlers uploads Feb. 10 and 24 at 10:30 a.m. Longer stories, exciting new rhymes and songs, but still all of the fun. These virtual storytimes are for families with preschoolers and will be available to watch on the library’s Facebook page.
Bridget’s Book Club
What would you do if you had a second chance at first love? Ten years ago, Annika and Jonathan were college sweethearts. But a tragedy shattered their love story, destroying the life they had planned together.
A decade later, they encounter each other once again. Annika is living her dream life as a librarian, while Jonathan is now a Wall Street wiz. The attraction is instantly rekindled, but are they both willing to give it a second chance? Join us for a discussion (via Zoom) of “The Girl He Used to Know” by Tracey Garvis Graves on Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. Email northerntierlibrary@gmail.com to reserve a copy of the book.
Take-Home Maker Mondays
The Pine Center Maker Mondays are now virtual! Even though you can’t visit in person at the Pine Center, Maker Mondays will continue in a virtual format. Every Monday, a tutorial video will be shared on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages. A weekly supply kit will be available to reserve and pick up for some great Maker fun at home.
