2 injured in Carrick shooting
Two men had leg injuries after they were shot in the Carrick section of Pittsburgh late Saturday night.
At 11:45 p.m. Saturday, Pittsburgh police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Brownsville Road in Carrick for a reported shooting, said Emily Bourne, city police spokeswoman.
At the scene, responders found a man on the sidewalk with a single gunshot wound to his leg, Bourne said. He was alert and could speak with officers. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition, Bourne said.
Shortly after, officers found a second man along Thielman Avenue who had several gunshot wounds to his legs, Bourne said. He was also alert and could speak to officers, and was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
Violent crime unit detectives are investigating.
