• Warm it up, Pittsburgh!

The region will experience above-average temperatures from Monday through Wednesday ahead of an expected cold front that will reach Southwestern Pennsylvanian later in the week.

• Robert Morris seeks to build $28M hockey arena

If it comes to fruition, the state-of- the-art venue would hold 2,500 people.

The building would hold twice as many spectators as the current Clearview Arena in the RMU Island Sports Center in Neville Island.

Potential on-campus sites for the arena were not identified.

• Pittsburgh’s clunky rollout of plastic bag ban sows confusion

The bag ban rollout has been hampered by misunderstandings, poor communication and an impractical enforcement strategy that leaves one person responsible for ensuring compliance at every one of the hundreds of affected businesses throughout the city.

• Oneil Cruz passes 1st test of spring training

Oneil Cruz continues to impress the Pirates with his power at the plate, whether it’s by hitting batting practice bombs.

• Outback Steakhouse closes North Hills location

Outback Steakhouse, the Australian-themed restaurant chain, closed its McKnight Road location in McCandless this past weekend. The move was part of a nationwide consolidation of older restaurants.
