State police: Woman shot in 'road rage incident' on Parkway East
A woman was shot in the hand in a road rage incident on Parkway East on Friday evening, according to state police.
The woman pulled her vehicle onto the side of the parkway, near Greensburg Pike, and called 911. State and local police dispatched to the scene, said state Trooper Rocco Gagliardi.
The eastbound lane of the parkway was closed for the investigation. Gagliardi was unable to confirm if the lane is still closed.
The woman was transported to a local hospital in stable condition, he said.
Police are using surveillance cameras to identify the vehicle owner and operator, who fled the scene. The investigation is highly active, Gagliardi said.
